REARRANGING REALITIES SYMPOSIUM Saturday 16 & Sunday 17 September 2006 Themes Memory
Through creating new projects, examining the work of other artists and discovering current psychological theories Rutherford has studied the strategies developed by artists when transforming personal memory into completed artworks and the notion of performing the self. Rearranging Realities weekend provides a varied and stimulating array of speakers, practical workshop sessions, discussion and music performance. Sending you off at the end with a little party bag containing a copy of the brand new DVD of Artists’ Interviews entitled “Rearranging Realities”. SPEAKERS Dr David Donaldson (Psychologist) Dr Dee Heddon (Lecturer in Theatre/ Artist) Leslie Hill (Artist) TBC Prof Annette Kuhn (Lecturer in Film Studies/ Writer) Francis McKee (Curator) Donna Rutherford FOOD Lunch (Sat & Sun) plus Evening Meal incl wine (Sat) will be served in the splendid Mackintosh Room at Glasgow School of Art (a 5 minute walk from RSAMD) Fees for the 2 day symposium are: Delegate fee £120* This includes a copy of the DVD of Artists Interviews discussing the use of personal memory in their work, which will be launched during the weekend. We will confirm your booking upon receipt of the full conference fee. Unfortunately, once a booking has been confirmed, it cannot be cancelled by you.
